Temple Classic Covers 1

To usher in the New Year and 20 years of the Temple, I've decided to showcase as many covers as I can (front and back) from the past Temple comics (starting way back in the early 90's, when it was paper rather than digital).

I don't have them all, but there's certainly a few of them.  In some cases images may be a bit ragged around the edges as some were rather awkward to scan (and also sometimes contain the binders, which I couldn't be bothered to remove).

Anyway, we start the trip down memory lane with Issue 1's cover from the Temple's creator, Kyle Kimmons.  Enjoy!

  1. online comics do not always come with covers and I think thats a great shame. Covers are crucial elements to comic books aren't they?

  2. Yup,

I've seen very little material from the original Temples, so I'm really interested to see what went before.

By the way, Dave - I've just noticed that Clickwheel have deleted all comics apart from those owned by Rebellion, so I'm going to upload all the pdf Temples elsewhere over the next few days. I'll stick the link under the 'Download Previous Temple Issues' section when it's done.

  3. It's been quite a fun trip down memory lane doing all the scanning (I'm missing the covers to issue 4, 12, 13, 31 and 32. I'm sure I have 12 and 13 lying around somewhere!). I'll try and include a few facts about issues and contributors whenever I remember to.

There should be a new cover going up each Saturday, all the way to the end of the year (I have the first 10 covers scheduled so far). I hope folks enjoy them, and that contributors don't mind having their ancient artwork dragged out for one last peek.

Mal, shame about Clickwheel. I also keep getting a pop-up whenever I go to Myebooks mentioning that they might be closing down if they don't find a sponsor, though I'm not sure if that's for real or not. Well, I'm sure we'll find a new audience somewhere (there's still Comicsy and Drivethru, I guess).
